Hi, I'm Kim
I know what it feels like to be a struggling teen. I felt dumb, angry and completely hopeless - like nothing was ever going to change. Those years took a real toll on my mental and physical health in ways I didn't fully understand until much later. Everything shifted when I discovered tools and strategies that actually worked — ways to quiet the noise, handle life's hard moments and start believing in myself again.
Now I bring those same tools to teens who are right where I was. Together we uncover what they truly want, drown out the negativity pulling them down and build a path toward a life they're actually excited about.
And for parents — because you matter in this too — I offer coaching that helps you understand what your teen is really going through, so you can show up for them in ways that bring you closer instead of pushing you apart.
Can a Life Coach really help?
For today's teens, stress isn't occasional — it's constant. The pressure of school, social media, friendships and an uncertain future can quietly erode their motivation, confidence and sense of self.
What most parents don't realize is that teens often need someone who isn't their parent to truly open up. A life coach gives them that safe space — someone who listens without judgment and helps them build the confidence and focus to move forward.
I've been that struggling teen. I know exactly what they're feeling — and I know what it takes to turn it around.
Absolutely, life coaching can help!

Is life coaching the same as therapy?
No. Therapy is incredibly valuable — but it focuses on healing the past. Coaching is about what's next. It's about giving your teen a clear path forward, practical tools they can use today and the confidence to actually use them.
From a mental health expert...
“As a Professional Mental Health Counselor I see a lot of people in my practice with various levels of mental health challenges, many of whom could benefit from seeing a Life Coach. In fact, many could benefit from seeing a Life Coach first because so often once they learn the tools and strategies they need to overcome some of life’s challenges, they may not even need a therapist.
For those with depression, anxiety, trauma, or dark thoughts, a mental health counselor is the right avenue to pursue.
Whichever you choose, be choosy. Finding the right mentor who is a good fit for you will make all the difference in achieving your goals.”

Stories of Change
"We have seen our daughter change her thought patterns and realize that she has the power to control what happens in her life. Kim truly cares about helping young people recognize that they are not passive players in life.
We are grateful to her and the difference she has made...in our daughter's life. Our daughter said it better than I ever could, "Ms. Kim is a wise woman." I wholeheartedly agree." - a parent
"Ending the session with action steps to help me work towards those things I value most. This helps me avoid feeling paralyzed by overwhelm and indecision. The weekly trouble shooting, action planning, education, encouragement and accountability are helping me to be the mom I want to be." - a parent
"I liked having somebody who listened, didn't judge me, let me do my own thing and let me come up with ways to improve myself instead of just telling me what to do." - a student
"This time talking to Kim helped me so much to see things that I haven't seen before, and I do not exaggerate when I say that I already started to see small changes with my own challenges. I highly recommend Kim and I am so grateful for getting to meet her." - a teen

The Coaching Process
Roadmap
Once we've laid the foundation in our first session, we build a roadmap that's completely tailored to you and your teen. These roadmaps are built around each of your goals, and what your family actually needs.
First session
Whether or not you decide to take part in the parenting sessions, this session gives you both a chance to ask questions, clear up common misconceptions about coaching, and lets your teen have a real say in whether they want to work with me.
Free Clarity call
We start with an initial clarity call to understand your goals and challenges.
Demographics - ages I work with
Pre-teen - Ages 11-13
The pre-teen years are a time of growing self-awareness and curiosity — but the emotional and mental skills needed to navigate new social pressures often haven't caught up yet.
It's a stretch where kids feel more, question more, and need more — even if they can't always say so.
The teenage years are when the stakes get real. Executive functioning is still a work in progress, peers are often more influential than parents, and yet teens are navigating some of the biggest decisions of their lives — college, identity, relationships, and beyond.
It's a lot to handle, for them and for you.
Teen - Ages 14-18
Young adult - Ages 19-25
These ages are equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Young adults are stepping into independence, building life skills on the fly, (finances, careers, etc.) and figuring out how to adult — often without a roadmap.
The decisions they make in these years shape the foundation of the rest of their lives.
Because of the growing independence of this age group, most parents do not participate in the parent coaching program.
Special abilities - Ages 11-25
Not every kid travels the same road — and not every kid should. Elite athletes, neurodiverse kids, and those with different abilities bring their own strengths, challenges, and potential.
I'm equipped to support many of these unique needs, and when additional expertise is called for, I have a network of trusted referrals to connect you with the right people.
